Subscribe to Status Updates for Specific Services
Exotel's status page at status.exotel.com shows the real-time health of Exotel services. You can subscribe to get notified automatically when something changes, and you can choose to receive updates for only the services you use instead of the whole platform.
Why subscribe to specific services
Exotel runs many services across regions and channels. If you only use voice in India, alerts about SMS in another region are noise. Component-level subscriptions let you pick exactly what you want to hear about, so every notification you get is relevant to you.
How to subscribe
- Go to status.exotel.com.
- Click Subscribe To Updates (top right).
- Choose how you want to be notified:
- SMS
- Slack
- Microsoft Teams
- RSS / Atom feed
- Enter your contact details (for example, your email address).
- Select the specific components (services) you want updates for. Leave them all selected to follow the entire platform, or tick only the ones relevant to you.
- Confirm your subscription. For email, you will receive a one-time verification code to confirm your address.
That's it. You will now receive notifications only for the services you selected.
What you'll be notified about
For each service you subscribe to, you get an update when:
- An incident is opened, updated, or resolved.
- The service's status changes (for example, from operational to degraded).
- A scheduled maintenance is planned or starts.
Change or stop your subscription
Every notification includes a link to manage your subscription. Use it to:
- Add or remove services from your subscription.
- Switch notification channel.
- Unsubscribe completely.
You do not need to create a new subscription to change what you follow. Just update the components on your existing one.
Understanding the services
Components on the status page are grouped so you can find yours quickly:
- Voice - incoming and outgoing calls, broken down by region.
- SMS - incoming and outgoing messaging.
- Contact Center (ECC) - by region (for example, India, UAE, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia).
- Dashboard - the Exotel web dashboard.
Pick the group and region that match your setup. If you are not sure which services you use, your Exotel account manager or support contact can help you identify them.
