- In unidirectional streaming, AgentStream sends audio one way — from the customer’s phone leg to your application.
- Use case: transcription, analytics, passive monitoring, or recording.
- In bidirectional streaming, AgentStream sends audio both ways — customer speech is streamed to your bot, and your bot’s responses are streamed back into the live call.

In simple terms:
- Unidirectional = listen only.
- Bidirectional = listen + talk.
