the values in the "direction" column of a call report are outbound api and outbound dial an outgoing call performed via the api is known as outbound api (most likely through the call connect api) an example of this is a click to call made through an api that is integrated with any crm utilising the connect api an outbound call is one that is placed from the dashboard or another device (through the call button)
