supplementary certificates) you can upload one or more files at least one additional document is required if an upload fails, an error message will appear — your other files are preserved, so just for sole proprietorship or individual the individual will be the authorised signatory for all other business types you will add the signatory manually find the right person in the list, or click "add different signatory" to add someone new click "send kyc" next to their name enter their mobile number and/or email address — at least one is required click "send kyc link" a verification link is sent to them by sms and/or email they complete their part independently — they do not need to log in to your exotel account once sent, you will see a confirmation screen click "back to dashboard" to track the status if a service is temporarily unavailable government verification services (pan, company registry, gst portal) are occasionally down for maintenance when this happens, the same options are available at every affected step retry — we attempt the check again you can retry up to 3 times "notify me when it's fixed" — opt in to receive an sms and email once the service is restored, with a direct link to pick up exactly where you left off you do not need to restart the entire process — your progress is saved your verification status after sending the verification link, your dashboard shows your company information page with one of three statuses verification pending your authorised signatory has been sent the link but hasn't completed their step yet "resend link" — resend the verification link if they haven't received it or need it again kyc failed your authorised signatory completed the process but verification was rejected the reason for rejection is shown on screen click "start kyc again" to correct and resubmit the fields that caused the rejection are highlighted on the page verified your verification is complete full platform access is now active your legal business details, signatory information, and operational preferences are displayed you can update operational preferences (website, contact details, billing values) directly from this page if your tan number is missing, an alert will appear click "add tan" to provide it — this affects billing and compliance need help? if you hit a step where automated verification cannot proceed (for example, your company is listed as inactive in government records, or document scanning fails repeatedly), click the "help me verify" button this notifies our onboarding team, who will reach out to you within 24 hours at your registered email address to complete verification manually you can also click the "need help?" button in the top navigation at any point during the process to open a support panel common mistakes to avoid using the wrong pan the pan must belong to the legal entity registered with exotel if the name shown after pan verification doesn't match, stop and re enter the correct pan not having documents ready partnership firms need a partnership deed; proprietorships and other entities need a business certificate gather documents before you start uploading the wrong document each step asks for a specific document uploading an invoice, utility bill, or address proof instead of the requested certificate will cause an error not providing any contact details for the authorised signatory the verification link cannot be sent without at least a mobile number or email address leaving a failed kyc unaddressed a failed status does not resolve automatically if you see "kyc failed", click "start kyc again" as soon as possible to avoid access restrictions clicking "restart kyc" without reading the warning restarting clears everything — including auto fetched company data and the signatory you already contacted a confirmation message will warn you; read it carefully
